About Me

What’s up y’all! My name is Brady Murphy and I want to personally welcome you to Unwrapped Bytes.

A little bit about me, I recently graduated Suma Kum Laude from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in CS. During my time at VT, I interned as an SWE @ 🚀 NASA 🚀 and 💳Wells Fargo💳 as well as worked on the AutoDrive and NASA Robotics 🤖 team as a path planning developer.

Although I loved my time as a developer working for these amazing teams, I found the most fulfillment through teaching others to code and solve complex problems. I was able to do this at Virginia Tech by helping teach classes as an undergraduate teaching assistant. My favorite classes that I taught were Intro to Software Development, Intro to C++, and iOS Mobile Dev.

I’m currently working as an iOS engineer for Capital One, as well as working on two startups in my free time.

Outside of work, I love lifting weights, golfing, fishing, and LEARNING!

I hope you enjoy all of the content here at unwrapped bytes. I put a ton of time and effort into it and appreciate all the support through coffee, subscribing to my mailing list, and taking my courses. It makes my year seeing all the amazing things that you all do with these skills. So, make sure to send me a message if my blogs have helped you pick up a new skill or land you a job! I love hearing about your success and want to feature your hard work.

I’m looking forward to walking this journey of never-ending learning as a developer and human in this amazing world and I hope you’re coming along for the ride!
